  • Permitting Basics

    Every municipality requires the following items to be clearly labeled with callout arrows in your plot plans. Municiple-specific items to be added are identified in each section below:


    • Pool Type, Envelope, and Depth Profile

    • Steps
    • VGB Compliant Main Drain
    • Equipment Pad
    • Porta Porty
    • Construction Access
    • Water Flow (toward back of property)
    • Street Name
    • Residence Address

    • Measurements from waterline to:

    3. Back Property Line

    Plot plans should be submitted with three views: 

    1. Full Property
    2. Zoomed Partially
    3. Zoomed More

    All permitting documents must be completed, signed/initialed appropriately by the homeowner, and uploaded with plot plans to the "Permitting Documents" folder in the appropriate project MS Teams channel.

    • Plan must be superimposed on a Survey or GIS aerial view
    • Show a minimum 15’ setback from the Mean High Water Line (MHWL) to the closest point of the pool, spa, or decking
    • Indicate silt fence location
